2006 BOOK FESTIVAL BIG SUCCESS!
Dr. James I. "Bud" Robertson was the keynote speaker at the second annual Franklin County Book Festival on August 19.

Dr. Robertson's listeners filled the Rocky Mount Methodist Church. Only a few open seats remained
in the balcony as the popular author, historian and Virginia Tech professor addressed the crowd. |

The Franklin County Library would like to thank the members of the Book Festival Committee, Dr. Robertson, the Friends of the Library, the owners and staff of Edible Vibe Restaurant and the Rocky Mount Methodist Church. Also, a very special thanks goes out to Wayne Scank for photographing this event, and to the local authors, panelists and book club representatives who helped make the 2006 festival an overwhelming success.
